Public release

Version 20261019.80

Build .80 adds Check for Updates to the Dawnamite menu, places each dropped audio file on its own track, picks automation parameters by clicking a control and shows each track's input on its header. It also fixes fades on sliced clips and keeps the Plugins tab open.

Public release

Check for Updates, one track per dropped file and click-to-pick automation

Added

  • Check for Updates… sits in the Dawnamite menu and the bottom bar's right-click menu. It compares your build with the latest public release and opens the Dawnamite page when a newer one is available. Nothing is checked unless you choose it, and nothing installs inside the app. Guide →
  • The automation picker has Select by Clicking a Control: the track's automatable controls light up, and clicking one creates or reveals its lane without changing its value. Escape or Cancel ends the mode. Guide →
  • Each track header has an input button next to FX that shows the input channel (1, 2 or 1-2) or MIDI, and opens the input menu in one click. Guide →

Changed

  • Dropping several audio files makes one track per file, named after the file, in one undo step. While you drag, an outline shows where each file will land. Guide →
  • Dropped audio appears as soon as it is read; transient markers follow in the same undo step. A three-minute file now imports in about 1.4 seconds instead of 3.8. Guide →
  • Moving clips leaves automation where it is by default. Guide →

Fixed

  • Sliced clip edges keep their declick when a neighbouring slice is moved, deleted or muted, and writing a fade length restarts that edge as a fresh fade. Guide →
  • Selecting or double-clicking a clip no longer replaces an open Plugins or Info tab with the clip editor. Guide →
  • Delete or Backspace with a track-header control focused no longer deletes the track, and automation lanes stay open while you edit them. Guide →
