dsh-superagent at a glance
DeepSeek published an MIT-licensed research prototype that works on one GitHub repository, takes requests from GitHub or Feishu, and answers with pull requests. DeepSeek says it is not an official product.
What changed with dsh-superagent
On October 31, 2026, DeepSeek's Harness team published a design article on what it calls a super-agent and released the code on GitHub as dsh-superagent-prototype under the MIT license. It is packaged as a bundle for DeepSeek Harness, the open-source agent harness DeepSeek released in August. The README labels it a research prototype for reference only, not an official DeepSeek product, and says the public code differs from DeepSeek's internal version.
The agent is scoped to one GitHub repository and can also listen to Feishu chats. When an allowed person asks for work, or a rule the team wrote permits it, it opens a work item, runs it in its own agent session and directory, and replies in the original conversation, for example with a pull request. A web panel lists what needs a human. Press coverage, led by Bloomberg, framed it as DeepSeek's answer to Claude Code.

Why dsh-superagent matters for businesses
Setup is guided by your own coding agent and needs Node.js 22.19 or later, the GitHub CLI, tmux, DeepSeek Harness, a model provider, and a dedicated GitHub account for the agent. For agencies, the useful ideas are the permission model and the attention budget: let the agent act only for named people and written rules, keep auto-merge off, and run it on an isolated machine account, not a developer laptop.
