Dawnamite Privacy Policy

Dawnamite works with local audio, MIDI and project files. Library content, external maker or help links and the update check can use the network. You choose what to share with support.

This policy explains how IA COMPA LLC handles information in the Dawnamite app (macOS). It applies to Dawnamite specifically; our website has its own privacy policy.

What Dawnamite handles

  • Audio files, MIDI notes, arrangements and project settings you open or create
  • Local project files, stored projects and Library data
  • Network connection information sent when the app requests remote Library content, checks GitHub for a newer release, or opens external maker and help pages
  • Information you choose to send to IA Compa when requesting support

Where your data lives

Dawnamite uses local project storage and exported project files. Its Library can request remote content and open external maker pages. Help links open web documentation.

Local work and external links

Projects and imported audio can stay local. Library requests and external maker or help pages use their providers’ network services. The update check asks GitHub for the newest release, and installing an update downloads it from GitHub. Read a provider’s privacy policy before sharing information with that provider.

Service providers

  • Remote library content providers — may receive your IP address and request information when the app fetches Library content or you open a maker page; the external-product directory identifies maker destinations.
  • GitHub — receives the update check’s request, including your IP address, when Dawnamite looks for a newer release or downloads an update; nothing about you or your projects is sent, and Settings → Updates turns the automatic check off.

About this preview

  • This website does not ask you to upload music to use the guide.
  • Contacting support is optional. Send only information you want IA Compa to receive.

Your choices

Keep independent copies of source audio and project exports. Use the app’s project and library management controls for local items; exported files must be managed separately. Clearing an unrelated browser’s site data does not clear the app’s local storage. For questions, email apps@iacompa.com.

Children

Dawnamite is intended for a general audience and isn’t directed to children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; we’ll change the “Last updated” date above when we do.
