Public release

Version 1.8: clip-tab cut, copy and paste, notes to a new track, taller rows and one-key shortcuts

Added

  • Right-click selected notes and choose Cut to New Track or Copy to New Track. A new instrument track appears directly below, outside any group, with the notes at the same times. Cut removes them from the original clip. Guide →
  • Hold Shift and click or drag on the piano keys to select every note in that pitch range, for example D3 down to C1. Hold Command as well to add to the selection. Guide →
  • Hold Control and scroll, or pinch, to make note rows taller or shorter. Guide →
  • One-key shortcuts in the clip editor: = Fit, F Fold, S Scale, Q Quantize, V Velocity, E Envelopes and W Step Recording. Toolbar tooltips show each key. In the arrangement, Q quantizes the selected audio clips. Guide →

Changed

  • Note rows grow to fill the editor's height, up to a comfortable maximum, so a folded clip no longer leaves empty space below. Guide →
  • Step Recording moved from S to W, and Quantize Notes from Command+U to Q. Guide →

Fixed

  • Cut, copy and paste work in the clip editor while the song plays, and appear in the right-click menu. Copied notes can also be pasted onto a MIDI track in the arrangement. Guide →
