Public release

Version 20261023.92

Dawnamite 2.0 finds the melody, harmony and bass in real songs more reliably, and lets you mute or solo each part in the note editor to check it by ear and move notes into the part you can hear.

Public release

Version 2.0: smarter Detect Parts and part mute squares

Added

  • Each part has a coloured square next to Parts in the note editor. Click it to mute or unmute that part, or Option-click to hear only that part. Muted notes look like notes muted with 0. Guide →
  • While a part is muted, double-click a note, or select notes and press Enter, to move them into the part you can hear and unmute them. Guide →

Changed

  • Detect Parts picks the melody as the top line phrase by phrase and the bass as the lowest line below the chords. Long chord tops stay harmony, and stray low notes no longer become bass. Guide →
  • Pressing Detect Parts again starts over and replaces every mark, including ones you made by hand; Command+Z brings them back. Muted parts stay muted. Guide →
