This policy explains how IA COMPA LLC handles information in the Spledio app (macOS). It applies to Spledio specifically; our website has its own privacy policy.
What Spledio handles
- Audio files you open, which Spledio reads but never changes
- Projects you save (.spledio files) with your layers, adjusted areas and edits, and the audio you export
- Settings such as custom keyboard shortcuts, recovery copies saved while you have unsaved changes, and temporary undo data
- Information you choose to send when requesting support
Where your data lives
Everything Spledio keeps stays on your Mac. Projects and exported audio are saved where you choose, and Spledio never overwrites your original audio file. While you have unsaved changes, Spledio saves a recovery copy every 2 minutes, so it can offer to restore your work after a crash. Settings, recovery copies and temporary undo data are stored locally. Spledio does not upload or sync any of it.
No network code
Spledio has no network code, no telemetry, no analytics and no account. It works without an internet connection and does not upload your audio or projects. The license texts in Help → Licenses and Notices are inside the app, so nothing is downloaded to show them.
Bug reports
Support is optional. Issues on GitHub are public, so leave out private recordings and personal information, or email apps@iacompa.com instead.
Service providers
- GitHub — hosts Spledio’s downloads, source code, user manual and issue tracker. Your browser contacts GitHub when you download a release or open its pages, and GitHub’s own privacy policy applies there; Spledio itself sends nothing to GitHub (provider information).
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell your personal information.
- We don’t use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
Your choices
Projects, exports and your original audio files are ordinary files: keep, move or delete them in Finder. Deleting the Spledio app does not delete them. A portable project also stores a copy of the original audio inside the project file; delete that project to remove the copy. For questions, email apps@iacompa.com.
Children
Spledio is intended for a general audience and isn’t directed to children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time; we’ll change the “Last updated” date above when we do.
