These Terms govern your use of the Spledio app (macOS), published by IA COMPA LLC. By accessing, downloading, or using Spledio, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to use Spledio.
Your license
Spledio is free software under the GNU General Public License, version 3 only (GPL-3.0-only). You may use it for any purpose, study and change the source code, and share it, including modified versions, under the same license. The app page links the complete license and the source code of version 1.3. The general acceptance, eligibility, use and term-change clauses on this page do not limit your rights under the GNU GPL. You do not need to accept additional website terms to exercise those GPL rights. The GPL provides the license terms and warranty disclaimer. Third-party libraries, such as Qt and PySide6 under the LGPL, keep their own licenses; Help → Licenses and Notices in the app shows every license text.
Your content is yours
The content you create in Spledio — such as your recordings, projects and exports — belongs to you. We don’t claim ownership of it. You’re responsible for the content you create and for having the right to use it.
Acceptable use
- Don’t use Spledio for anything unlawful or harmful.
- Don’t attempt to break, overload, or misuse the app or any related service.
- Don’t infringe others’ rights or use the app to harm others.
AI-assisted features
Where Spledio includes AI-assisted features, their output can be inaccurate or incomplete and is provided for your convenience, not as professional advice. Use judgment before relying on it.
Requirements and limits
Spledio 1.3 needs a Mac with Apple silicon and macOS 15 or later. It is signed with IA COMPA LLC’s Developer ID and notarized by Apple. There is no Windows or Linux installer yet.
Export is WAV or FLAC. Long files use a lot of memory: a 60-minute file needs up to about 6 GB while a long area is applied. Spledio never overwrites your original audio file; keep your own backups of important recordings.
Independent project
Spledio is an independent project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any maker of commercial audio software.

Any liability we do have is limited to the amount you paid us to use Spledio in the six months before the claim — which is US $0 for a free app.
