Microsoft bundled E5, Copilot and Agent 365 into a $99-per-user E7 suite and priced Agent 365 alone at $15 per user, both available May 1.

What changed with Microsoft 365 E7

On March 9, 2026, Microsoft announced Microsoft 365 E7, which bundles Microsoft 365 E5, Microsoft 365 Copilot and Agent 365 with added Entra, Defender, Intune and Purview capabilities. It became generally available May 1 at $99 per user. Agent 365, Microsoft's control plane for observing, governing and securing AI agents, is also sold alone at $15 per user from May 1.

Agent 365 was first introduced at Ignite in November 2025 as a way to manage agents built on Microsoft platforms, open-source frameworks or third-party tools. The March post also announced Copilot Cowork in research preview, built with Anthropic, and Claude in mainline Copilot chat through the Frontier program.
