Claude Platform on AWS brings the full Claude API to AWS accounts and billing

Claude Platform on AWS at a glance

AWS customers can now use the complete Claude Platform, including Managed Agents, with AWS IAM sign-in, CloudTrail audit logs and a single AWS invoice that counts toward existing commitments. Claude also stays on Amazon Bedrock.

What changed with Claude Platform on AWS

On May 11, 2026, Anthropic made the Claude Platform on AWS generally available. It gives AWS customers the full set of Claude API features for the first time, with new features and betas arriving the same day they reach the native Claude API. Sign-in uses AWS IAM, audit logs go to CloudTrail, and usage appears on one AWS invoice that retires against existing AWS commitments. Claude remains available separately on Amazon Bedrock, where AWS is the data processor.

At launch the platform included Claude Managed Agents (beta), the advisor strategy (beta), web search and web fetch, code execution, the Files API (beta), skills (beta) and the MCP connector (beta). Anthropic said it would be offered in most AWS commercial regions with global and U.S. inference options.

Why Claude Platform on AWS matters for businesses

For agencies with clients that buy through AWS, this removes a common blocker: teams can use Anthropic's newest agent features without a separate vendor contract or a second billing relationship. When choosing between this and Bedrock, check which data processing terms and feature set each client needs.
