AIforce at a glance
At Dreamforce 2026, Salesforce introduced AIforce, an interface layer built on MCPs, APIs, plug-ins, and skills that lets AI tools act on Salesforce data under existing permissions.
What changed with AIforce
AIforce runs on what Salesforce calls the Headless Toolkit. Salesforce in Claude is a prebuilt MCP server with 37 sales skills and is in beta for all customers, and a Salesforce Development plug-in for Claude Code adds more than 40 developer skills. In Slack, Slackforce adds shared live surfaces, Slackbot actions in Salesforce, and CRM updates from Slack.
Inside Salesforce Lightning, Agentforce Coworker acts as an AI teammate that can call a company's existing Agentforce agents. Salesforce says Coworker is available now and reached 100,000 users within 35 days of launch.
Why AIforce matters for businesses
Salesforce says AI responses follow existing Salesforce permissions and that actions route back through Salesforce. Pricing and packaging may change. For businesses on Salesforce, staff can query and update CRM records from the AI tools they already use instead of building a custom integration.
