Version 20261022.84

Dawnamite 1.2.0 makes splitting, deleting and undoing in large MIDI clips much faster, adds a Quantize button and a Fit button to the piano roll, adds Move Left for regions, lets the instrument panel's pads record into an armed track, and keeps Capture MIDI to the last 10 minutes of playing.

Version 1.2.0: faster MIDI edits, Quantize and Move Left

Added

  • The piano roll has a Quantize button, and Cmd+U snaps notes to the grid chosen in the snap menu. Guide →
  • The piano roll's Fit button zooms so every note in the clip is visible. Guide →
  • Move Left (Cmd+Shift+,) moves the selected regions back against the previous region on their track, or to the start. Guide →
  • While recording, the pads and keys in an instrument's panel record into the track when it is armed. Guide →

Changed

  • Capture MIDI keeps the last 10 minutes of what you played. Guide →
  • MIDI clips in the arrangement draw their notes to fill the clip height, using the range of notes the clip plays. Guide →
  • In the piano roll's Clip panel, Start, End, Duplicate and the loop settings sit in a folded Position & Loop section at the bottom. Guide →

Fixed

  • Splitting, deleting, duplicating, undoing and redoing in large MIDI clips is much faster; undo on a 20,000-note clip drops from about 2.3 seconds to 0.7. Guide →
  • Pressing an instrument's pads while recording on an unarmed track shows one message asking you to arm it, instead of a "Load a sound" message on every press. Guide →
