What changed with Amazon Nova 2 Lite
On December 2, 2025, AWS announced Amazon Nova 2 foundation models in Amazon Bedrock. Nova 2 Lite, a fast reasoning model with a 1M-token context, is generally available via global cross-region inference; Nova 2 Pro is in preview for Nova Forge customers. Both offer three thinking levels, built-in code interpreter and web grounding, and remote MCP tool support.
Amazon also introduced Nova 2 Sonic for real-time speech-to-speech, Nova 2 Omni for mixed text, image, video, and speech input, Nova Forge for building custom models from Nova checkpoints, and Nova Act for browser-based agents. Amazon later noted on its page that the Nova lineup has since changed.
