What it does
Punch, crunch and boom for drum buses.
Add it to a track
Select the destination track, open Plugins, and choose Add Effect. Find this device in Library → Devices → Audio Effects. Effects process the signal from the devices before them in the chain.
Controls
| Control | What to listen or look for |

| Drive | Pushes the signal into nonlinear processing, adding distortion and harmonics. |
| Type | Chooses the distortion character used on the drum signal. |
| Crunch | Adds gritty midrange distortion to the drums. |
| Damp | Reduces high-frequency energy as the sound decays, making the tail darker. |
| Transients | Emphasizes or softens the initial hit of each drum sound. |
| Boom | Adds a tuned low-frequency resonance for weight. |
| Boom Hz | Tunes the low-frequency boom resonance. |
| Decay | Sets how long the added boom resonance rings. |
| Audition | Auditions the added boom component by itself. |
| Compress | Increases the compression applied to the drum signal. |
| Trim | Sets the signal level leaving this stage. |
| Output | Sets the signal level leaving this stage. |
| Mix | Blends the original signal with the processed signal; 100% gives only the processed sound. |
Work with this device
Start with a short passage that represents your material. Change one control at a time. Compare at a similar listening level, using the device's power control to bypass it. Save a version of the project before making a large change.
