What it does
Brickwall limiter with automatic makeup gain
Add it to a track
Select the destination track, open Plugins, and choose Add Effect. Find this device in Library → Devices → Audio Effects. Effects process the signal from the devices before them in the chain.
Controls
| Control | What to listen or look for |

| Threshold | Sets how strongly the signal is driven into limiting. |
| Ceiling | Sets the target maximum output level of the limiter. |
| Release | Sets how quickly this stage returns as the signal falls. |
| Auto Release | Lets the dynamics processor adapt its release timing to the incoming signal. |
| Link | Sets how closely the left and right gain reduction follow each other. |
| Mode | Chooses the limiter's response character. |
| True Peak | Enables extra detection of peaks between samples. |
| Lookahead | Gives the detector advance notice of peaks by delaying the audio; this adds latency. |
Work with this device
Start with a short passage that represents your material. Change one control at a time. Compare at a similar listening level, using the device's power control to bypass it. Save a version of the project before making a large change.
