What it does
Keeps incoming notes inside a chosen key and scale
Add it to a track
Select a MIDI track and add this device from Library → Devices → MIDI Effects. MIDI effects transform notes before they reach the instrument.
Controls
| Control | What to listen or look for |

| Root | Chooses the root note used by the selected musical scale. |
| Scale | Chooses the set of notes used by the pitch or note-processing rules. |
| Out of Scale | Chooses whether out-of-scale notes are moved to a valid note or removed. |
| Transpose | Moves pitch up or down in semitones. |
| C | Maps this incoming pitch class to the chosen output note within each octave. |
| C# | Maps this incoming pitch class to the chosen output note within each octave. |
| D | Maps this incoming pitch class to the chosen output note within each octave. |
| D# | Maps this incoming pitch class to the chosen output note within each octave. |
| E | Maps this incoming pitch class to the chosen output note within each octave. |

Work with this device
Start with a short passage that represents your material. Change one control at a time. Compare at a similar listening level, using the device's power control to bypass it. Save a version of the project before making a large change.
