What it does
Internal loopback only: tests level, delay and polarity. Does not reach audio hardware.
Add it to a track
Select the destination track, open Plugins, and choose Add Effect. Find this device in Library → Devices → Audio Effects. Effects process the signal from the devices before them in the chain.
Controls
| Control | What to listen or look for |
|---|---|
| Send | Trims the level into this device's internal loopback delay path; external hardware routing is not implemented here. |
| Return | Trims the level after the internal loopback delay path; no external hardware return is connected. |
| Latency | Sets the internal loopback delay in milliseconds. |
| Invert | Reverses the polarity of the signal; the left-channel control affects only the left side. |
| Loopback | Turns the internal loopback on; off makes the wet signal silent. This does not connect an audio interface. |
| Output | Sets the signal level leaving this stage. |
| Mix | Blends the original signal with the processed signal; 100% gives only the processed sound. |
Work with this device
Start with a short passage that represents your material. Change one control at a time. Compare at a similar listening level, using the device's power control to bypass it. Save a version of the project before making a large change.
Current behavior
The current build uses an internal delayed-return model. This device does not route audio to physical outboard hardware. Use Audio setup for interface input and output selection.
