Add it to a track
Select the destination track, open Plugins, and choose Add Effect. Find this device in Library → Devices → Audio Effects. Effects process the signal from the devices before them in the chain.
Controls
| Control | What to listen or look for |

| Size | Sets the analysis window size; larger windows resolve finer frequencies but respond more slowly. |
| Channel | Chooses which stereo component is analyzed. |
| Avg | Smooths the spectrum over time to make the overall tonal balance easier to read. |
| Rate | Sets how often the spectrum display refreshes. |
| Low | Sets the quietest level shown on the spectrum's vertical scale. |
| High | Sets the loudest level shown on the spectrum's vertical scale. |
| Scale | Chooses the frequency-axis scale of the display. |
| Hold | Keeps maximum spectrum levels visible so brief peaks can be inspected. |
| View | Chooses the spectrum view; unavailable views currently use the line display. |
Work with this device
Start with a short passage that represents your material. Change one control at a time. Compare at a similar listening level, using the device's power control to bypass it. Save a version of the project before making a large change.
