Plays several instruments at once from one track

Select a MIDI track and choose this instrument from Library → Devices → Instruments. Instruments turn notes into sound; an empty MIDI region needs notes before it will play.

This device organizes other devices or content. Add compatible items inside its slots or chain, then use each child device's own controls.

Start with a short passage that represents your material. Change one control at a time. Compare at a similar listening level, using the device's power control to bypass it. Save a version of the project before making a large change.

Add instruments to the stack to layer their sound. Each child instrument has its own controls and device chain. Balance those layers at a low starting level before adjusting the overall track.
