About Dawnamite
Dawnamite is a free music-production app developed by IA Compa for macOS. Windows is coming soon. This page explains the software, font and sound licenses behind the app.
Software licenses and source rights
Each component retains its own copyright and license. Those licenses describe the rights to use, copy, modify and share that component, and any conditions that apply. Read the linked original terms before redistributing software, fonts or sounds. A website acknowledgment does not replace notices or corresponding source required by a license.

Software and original notices
The Sound credits and acknowledgments identify software and sound contributors. The notice collection includes original app notices and JavaScript, Rust, runtime and font texts. Some catalogs also include build tools or conditional components; a listing does not mean every component is bundled.
The CTAG-derived compressor retains its separate GPL scope. Signalsmith Stretch, Neural Amp Modeler, claxon, VST 3 pluginterfaces and CLAP each retain their own copyright and license records. A plug-in format name does not establish endorsement, certification or compatibility with every product.
Fonts
The font notices cover Rubik, Open Sans and the PT Sans-derived Dawnamite Narrow family. They include the original grants and the PT Sans modification notice. Font licenses and naming conditions continue to apply to modified fonts.
This website uses Hanken Grotesk, Newsreader, Geist Mono and Space Grotesk, all under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. The Geist Mono and Space Grotesk family notices are linked separately. App screenshots do not distribute the app font software.
Sounds and presets
The sound credits include 14 unmodified LMMS Community sample assets, dedicated under CC0 1.0. No LMMS application code is included. GeneralUser GS is by S. Christian Collins, obtained from x42 General MIDI Synth. Its custom GeneralUser GS License v2.0 and source-material disclosure apply; the bank is not CC0. Some Ardour builds also bundle this bank. Dawnamite does not include Ardour application code or the x42 native wrapper.
The sound-source catalog also identifies recordings considered for additional instruments. A source listing does not mean a Dawnamite pack is installed or available to download. CC0 dedications and CC BY recordings retain distinct terms. CC BY entries are marked Credit required and include attribution, license links and recorded changes.
The 37 original factory preset entries credit Dawnamite’s preset and sound design, without claiming authorship of every underlying synth engine.
External products in the Library
The Library links to 51 external maker products at 48 unique URLs, with three player options. Dawnamite does not bundle or install these products. Free editions may require accounts, email or installer apps. Free access does not itself grant permission to redistribute software or samples. Check each maker’s terms, system requirements and format support.

Credits and acknowledgments
Dawnamite is developed by IA Compa. It contains modified studio software by André Michelle and contributors, together with original development and other software and sound resources. The studio foundation’s grant is AGPL v3 or later. Each additional component retains its own license and source rights.
