Select a MIDI track and choose this instrument from Library → Devices → Instruments. Instruments turn notes into sound; an empty MIDI region needs notes before it will play.

This device organizes other devices or content. Add compatible items inside its slots or chain, then use each child device's own controls.

Start with a short passage that represents your material. Change one control at a time. Compare at a similar listening level, using the device's power control to bypass it. Save a version of the project before making a large change.

Drop samples onto pads. Select a pad to edit its sample, trim, pitch, level, pan, filter, reverse, velocity range and choke group. Pads in the same nonzero choke group stop each other. Each pad responds to its assigned MIDI note; the octave selector changes the visible pad range.
